"Yesterday I called Southwest Plumbing and was surprised to find that I was able to get a plumber on short notice, and to show up on the day and time that I wanted. The person who took the call was pleasant and professional.
This morning, the dispatcher called to say that your plumber was on his way—another nice touch. When he arrived, I thought this must be the person they send out to do estimates. His uniform was too neat and clean for a person that fixes things. My jaw dropped when he put the little booties on his shoes—my real estate agent didn’t even do that.
He was polite and well-informed. He explained what he was going to do and what it would cost, then gave me options before he started the work. He did not talk down to me and was respectful of my home. He even petted the cat! Best of all, he did what he said he would do for the price quoted, and left my kitchen in better shape than when he found it. Another surprise was that I got a follow up call from a real person asking if I was satisfied.
I am not used to this. As a single female, that has been a homeowner for many years; my experience with service people has been generally ugly. I am used to finding someone at my door who looks unkempt, speaks to me like a two-year-old, makes a mess of my home, and who may or may not fix what they came to fix. But they always find a whole lot to charge me for.
You have made me a believer! I will never try to fix the sink myself again. One more thing: would you consider opening up a side business to start training some of the cable guys?" — Susan D.
